Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America (SMPA) is seeking a dynamic Territory Sales Manager – Specialty to lead sales in designated territories. You will build deep, data-driven relationships with clinicians and accounts, drive market share, and leverage clinical insight to navigate the evolving healthcare landscape.

The role requires strong communication, travel up to 60–80% of time, and a track record of top sales performance, especially in urology or launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related area with two+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
• Proven top-ranked sales performance (top 25% nationally).
• Experience in Urology and pharmaceutical launches.
• Knowledge of formulary positioning and access strategies.

Responsibilities

• Establish deep and meaningful business relationships based on clinical and market dynamics.
• Increase market share by closing new business in new and existing accounts.
• Support sales results with clinical expertise and compliant resource use.
• Assess and analyze product and competitor trends and market dynamics.
• Collaborate and communicate with team members honestly and constructively.
• Travel throughout the territory; overnight stays and evening hours may be required.
