Job summary

New Story Schools in Camp Hill, PA seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional to assist students aged 5-21 with autism and behavioral challenges. You will support academic, behavioral, and daily living goals alongside teachers, ensuring progress and engagement.

Guided by IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans, you will help with transitions, activities, and personal care while collecting progress data and maintaining a calm, structured classroom environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three months of experience supporting individuals with learning or behavioral disabilities.
• Knowledge of behavior management and classroom support strategies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm and consistent during challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Support students with academic, behavioral, and self-care goals.
• Implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans under teacher guidance.
• Assist students with transitions, activities, and personal care as needed.
• Collect and record behavioral and progress data.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
