New Story Schools in Pennsylvania seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students ages 5–21 with autism and behavioral, emotional, and developmental challenges. You will work with teachers to help students achieve academic, behavioral, and daily living goals in a nurturing, structured setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, are at least 21, and bring at least three months of experience helping individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• At least three months of experience supporting individuals with learning or behavioral disabilities.
• Knowledge of behavior management and classroom support strategies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm and consistent during challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Support students with academic, behavioral, and self-care goals.
• Implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans under teacher guidance.
• Assist students with transitions, activities, and personal care as needed.
• Collect and record behavioral and progress data.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
