Job summary

New Story Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to collaborate with teachers in Mountville, PA. You will support students’ academic, behavioral, and daily living goals through direct assistance, patience, and encouragement.

You will implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans under guidance, help with transitions and personal care, and collect progress data to maintain a safe, supportive learning environment for students aged 5–21 with autism and related challenges.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old at start of employment.
• Minimum 3 months of experience with individuals who have learning or behavioral disabilities.
• Knowledge of behavior management and classroom support strategies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm and consistent during challenging situations.

Responsibilities
