Job summary

New Story Schools in Camp Hill, PA seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students ages 5-21 with autism and related challenges. You will work with teachers to implement IEPs, support academics, behavior, and daily living skills in a structured, supportive classroom.

You will help with transitions, record progress, and contribute to a calm, collaborative environment while benefiting from strong benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• At least three months of experience supporting individuals with learning or behavioral disabilities.
• Knowledge of behavior management and classroom support strategies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm and consistent during challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Support students with academic, behavioral, and self-care goals.
• Implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans under teacher guidance.
• Assist students with transitions, activities, and personal care as needed.
• Collect and record behavioral and progress data.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
