S&M E invites applications for the 2027 Spark Summer Internship Program across Civil, Environmental, Construction, Geotechnical Engineering and related service lines. Interns will work with experienced professional-owners, participate in a cohort, and gain hands-on experience while developing professionally toward a career in engineering.

Open to current students from various backgrounds, this 12-week internship runs May 2027 through August 2027 with competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a related degree program; Rising Juniors, Seniors, or Graduate students preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Out of town travel may be required.
• For technical roles the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions is required.
• Routine lifting may be required: 40 to 50 lbs.
