Job summary

S&ME is seeking candidates for the 2027 Spark Summer Internship Program in Civil/Environmental/Construction/Geotechnical Engineering. This twelve-week, full-time internship runs May–August 2027 and provides hands-on experience alongside employee-owners across multiple service lines.

Open to rising juniors, seniors, and graduate students in related programs; travel may be required; candidates should be prepared for field work in varying weather and lifting 40–50 lbs. Housing is not provided.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a related degree program; Rising Juniors, Seniors, or Graduate students preferred.
• Related experience and/or campus, community, work-related leadership experience preferred.
• At least 18 years of age; Out of town travel may be required; For technical roles, ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions; Routine lifting may be required (40 to 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Learn about S&ME services and internship structure.
• Work alongside professionals across civil, environmental, construction, geotechnical engineering areas; participate in intern cohort activities.
