Job summary

Athletico, a leader in physical therapy, seeks a Patient Experience Coordinator to ensure accurate patient intake, insurance verification, and seamless front-office operations at our Oak Park clinic.

You will greet patients, complete registrations, explain financial responsibilities, collect payments, and coordinate with Billing and Clinical Operations to maintain data integrity and smooth scheduling. The role requires fluency in Spanish to serve a diverse patient base.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience in healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and billing preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and deliver exceptional front-office service.
• Complete patient intake and registration, including insurance verification.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and payment options.
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet collection targets.
• Manage scheduling workflows and coordinate with Billing and Clinical Ops.
• Use EMR systems and dashboards to ensure data accuracy and reporting.
• Communicate patient progress notes with referral sources timely.
