Job summary

Athletico Physical Therapy in Illinois is seeking a full‑time Patient Experience Coordinator (PEC) to ensure accurate patient intake and financial clearance, delivering a seamless front‑office experience while maintaining compliance and supporting revenue cycle performance.

Must be fluent in Spanish and will collaborate with clinical teams, PES, and Billing to resolve issues, using EMR systems and dashboards to drive continuous improvement and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a high‑volume setting.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook and Excel.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred.
• Experience requesting and managing patient payments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional front‑office experience by greeting patients warmly and resolving issues promptly.
• Accurately complete patient intake and registration, including demographic verification and insurance eligibility.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and available digital tools.
• Collect time‑of‑service payments and meet collection targets.
• Manage clinic scheduling workflows and monitor KPIs for registration accuracy and patient satisfaction.
• Collaborate with PES, Billing, and Clinical Operations to resolve issues and escalate when needed.
• Utilize EMR systems and dashboards to track outcomes and support continuous improvement.
• Coordinate communication of patient progress notes to referral sources.
• Organize patient milestone celebrations and community activities with the clinical team.
• Provide cross training on front office duties and participate in ongoing training.
