Job summary

Athletico Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator (PEC) to ensure accurate patient intake, financial clearance, and a seamless front-office experience while safeguarding data integrity and supporting revenue cycle performance.

This full-time role reports to the Clinic Manager and collaborates with clinical teams and PES to resolve issues; fluency in Spanish is required to serve a diverse patient base, with a focus on excellent customer service and HIPAA-compliant practices.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates excellent customer service in a high-volume setting.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage is preferred.
• Experience with requesting and managing patient payments is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional front-office experience by greeting patients warmly and resolving issues.
• Accurately complete patient intake, registration, and eligibility checks to ensure data integrity.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and digital tools (patient portal).
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet collection targets.
• Coordinate with PES, Billing, and Clinical Operations to resolve complex issues.
