Job summary

Athletico Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator (PEC) to ensure accurate patient intake and financial clearance, delivering a seamless front-office experience. The role collaborates with clinical teams and reports to the Clinic Manager, with support from the PES.

Fluency in Spanish is required. As a full-time team member, you will drive patient satisfaction, manage insurance verification, and support revenue cycle performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in customer service preferred
• Healthcare administration experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional front-office experience by greeting patients warmly and resolving issues promptly
• Accurately complete patient intake and registration, including demographic verification and insurance eligibility
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities, payment options, and digital tools
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet collection targets
• Manage clinic scheduling workflows to optimize provider availability
• Monitor KPIs for registration accuracy and patient satisfaction
• Coordinate with PES, Billing and Clinical Operations to resolve issues
• Utilize EMR dashboards and reporting tools for data accuracy
• Coordinate patient progress notes and plans of care with referral sources
• Organize patient milestone celebrations and community activities
• Participate in ongoing training and cross-training programs
• Provide Rehab Aide cross training on front office duties
