Job summary

Ingersoll Rand, Frederica, DE-based, is seeking a Project Engineer for EVA spacesuit systems, coordinating cross-functional teams across design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to deliver flight-critical hardware on schedule.

The role focuses on planning, execution, integration, and transition of hardware from development to production, with NASA requirements and strict safety standards guiding every milestone.

Qualifications

• This position requires access to shared government program databases (U.S. citizen or permanent resident).
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate EVA spacesuit hardware projects from design release through production.
• Serve as a liaison between engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to align on priorities and schedules.
• Support spacesuit assembly and integration activities at the Frederica site for build, test, and delivery.
• Ensure hardware fabrication and production meet schedule and budget constraints.
• Gather and manage technical and program data to support requirements and build readiness.
• Lead hardware failure investigations and drive corrective actions across teams.
• Maintain communication with program managers and stakeholders on risks and impacts to cost and schedule.
• Interface with NASA customers to report status and milestones through reviews and meetings.
• Support integration, test, and verification activities to meet NASA program requirements.
• Assist with transition of hardware from development to production including build plans and configuration control.
