Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Frederica, DE is hiring a Project Engineer to support EVA spacesuit systems. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to deliver flight-critical hardware on schedule and within budget.

The role covers planning from design release through fabrication, production, verification, and delivery, ensuring NASA alignment and adherence to safety and quality standards with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident for access to government program databases.
• Experience in manufacturing or product development environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate EVA spacesuit hardware projects from design release to production.
• Liaise between engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain to align priorities and schedules.
• Support spacesuit assembly activities and ensure build readiness for tests and delivery.
• Lead hardware failure investigations and drive corrective actions across teams.
• Communicate risks, progress, and milestones to program managers and NASA customers.
