Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Project Engineer to support EVA spacesuit programs at the Frederica, Delaware facility. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, track milestones, and ensure NASA requirements are met while maintaining schedule and budget.

Work includes hardware development, integration, testing, and transition to production, with emphasis on Space Suit Assembly and NASA program deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or product development environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and ICDs.
• Interest in project management (PMP or CAPM a plus).
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of project management methodologies and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate EVA spacesuit hardware projects from design release through production, integration, and delivery.
• Liaise between engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams on priorities and schedules.
• Support spacesuit assembly and integration activities at the Frederica site.
• Ensure fabrication and production efforts meet schedule and budget constraints.
• Gather and manage data to support requirements and production execution.
• Lead hardware failure investigations and drive corrective actions.
