Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Project Engineer for the Frederica, Delaware facility to coordinate EVA spacesuit hardware programs. You will work with engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain to ensure on-time, within-scope, flight-ready hardware for NASA programs.

You will manage design release through production, perform RCA/CAPA activities, and ensure adherence to NASA requirements and safety standards while communicating risks and milestones to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must be able to access shared government program databases (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate EVA spacesuit hardware projects from design release through production, integration, and delivery.
• Serve as a liaison between engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to align on production priorities.
• Support spacesuit assembly and integration activities at the Frederica site, ensuring readiness for build, test, and delivery.
• Lead hardware failure investigations; drive corrective and preventive actions across engineering and factory operations.
• Interface with NASA customers to communicate status, progress, risks, and milestones through reviews and meetings.
• Assist with transition of hardware from development into production, including build plans and configuration control.
