Job summary

The Project Engineer at the Frederica, Delaware facility supports EVA spacesuit programs by coordinating cross-functional teams across engineering, production, quality and supply chain to meet NASA requirements and schedule.

You will manage design release through fabrication, assembly, test and delivery, ensuring safety and quality standards while controlling cost and schedule in a dynamic, aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or product development.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and ICDs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate EVA spacesuit hardware projects from design release through production, integration, and delivery.
• Liaise with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to aligns priorities and schedules.
• Support spacesuit assembly and integration activities at the Frederica site.
• Ensure fabrication and production stay on schedule and within budget.
• Gather data to support requirements definition and production readiness.
• Lead hardware failure investigations and drive CAPA actions.
• Communicate risks, issues, and impacts to cost and schedule to program managers.
• Interface with NASA customers to report progress and milestones.
• Support transition from development to production with build plans and configuration control.
• Assist with proposal, contract execution, and lifecycle planning.
• Conduct routine tasks to support EVA program execution.
