Job summary

Grand Traverse Resort and Spa is seeking a Spa Attendant to greet members and guests, manage check-ins, and oversee daily facility operations. The role includes selling Spa treatments and merchandise, handling cash, and promoting services to drive member engagement.

The ideal candidate will be at least 18, have cash handling experience, and preferably hold current First Aid/CPR certification. This on-site position requires a positive, multi-tasking individual with excellent customer service

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Cash register and cash handling experience.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred (Classes may be provided)

Responsibilities

• Check in members and guests upon entering the Spa.
• Monitor facility use and ensure services are paid for and properly used.
• Perform Beach Club Attendant duties during the summer/fall season.
• Daily checks of Spa facilities, stocking, ordering, and cleaning.
• Dispense locker keys and towels.
• Report missing locker keys to assistant health club manager.
• Answer phones and take messages for unavailable staff.
• Take reservations for court times, lessons, and activities.
• Print membership cards and schedule photo sessions.
• Pass on important information at shift changes.
• Attend monthly staff meetings.
• Know all safety procedures and how to act on them.
• Report safety issues to the appropriate department.
• Promote the Spa and refer inquiries to membership.
• Be knowledgeable about the Resort and Spa and surrounding area.
• Provide excellent customer service to all clients.
• Collect membership fees and distribute daily to the executive office.
• Sell retail, deli, and Spa treatments (upsell).
• Maintain a professional rapport with coworkers and visitors.
• Complete assignments and follow grooming standards.
• Maintain open communication with supervisor.
• Understand environmental practices of the resort.
