Job summary

Sazerac is seeking a Market Development Manager to lead a team of representatives driving brand growth in the district. The role focuses on distribution, in-store execution, and strategic promotions to meet volume targets.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree, 3+ years in sales (CPG), and proven leadership, with the ability to travel up to 50% and work flexible hours. Residence in or near the district is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional sales experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry (CPG).
• Proven success in managing and leading people.
• Demonstrated use of sales data analytics and tools to drive results.
• Must be able to travel within an assigned district (up to 50% overnights).
• Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Market Development Representatives to build brands, maximize distribution, and optimize in-store execution.
• Motivate and develop internal and wholesale teams to achieve brand and individual goals.
• Plan and implement strategic programs to guide distribution and promotions that align with state priorities.
• Achieve volume objectives for assigned brands and districts.
• Schedule and conduct regular sales calls with key accounts to drive results.
• Develop and monitor KPIs for the team and adjust plans as needed to stay on target.
