Job summary

Solage in Calistoga, CA is seeking a Wine Program Lead to ensure exceptional wine service and profitability across all beverage operations. You will manage wine program standards, train staff, and contribute to tastings and ongoing education to elevate guest experience.

The role requires strong wine knowledge, experience in fine dining, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with management to drive program excellence.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in a comparable fine dining environment.
• Knowledge of wine, cocktail, and beer menus and the ability to service them accordingly.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support the management team in the development and implementation of the strategic plan and vision for the wine program.
• Lead guest service standards within wine and beverage to grow profitability.
• Maintain the integrity of the wine program through frequent quality checks of opened wines by the glass.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all brands, wine/champagne descriptions by the glass, bottle selections, glassware, garnishes, and prices.
• Assist in training staff on beverage knowledge and wine systems.
• Attend wine and beverage tastings and seminars for ongoing education.
