Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. in Anson, TX is seeking a Solar Technician I to support operation and maintenance of solar facilities at the Anson Solar Site. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PV inverters, panels, and tracking systems, while using SCADA, Maximo, and SAP to manage work orders and reporting.

This field role involves an on-call rotation and residency within 50 miles of the site. Candidates should have a technical diploma or certification, knowledge of electrical theory, and the

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma or certification in a technical program with AC/DC electrical theory knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics and understand industrial electrical equipment.
• Willingness to work night shifts and outdoors in extreme weather.
• Must obtain substation training/certifications within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs on PV inverters, solar panels, and tracking systems.
• Operate standard hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Create and close-out work orders in Maximo.
• Conduct site safety orientations for OEMs, ISPs, vendors, and visitors.
• Maintain accurate parts and tooling inventory.
