Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a Solar Technician I for the Anson 2 Solar Site in Anson, TX. The role supports operation and maintenance of solar facilities, troubleshooting PV inverters, panels, and tracking systems while using SCADA, Maximo, and SAP for work orders and reporting.

Responsibilities include safety documentation, site orientations, and close collaboration with senior technicians. Requires eligibility for on-call shifts and a readiness for outdoor work in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Two diploma in a technical program with AC/DC electrical theory
• Ability to read one-line and three-line schematics and understand electrical equipment
• Reading blueprints and understanding electrical diagrams

Responsibilities

• Complete permits to work, JSPs, LOTO procedures, and risk assessments
• Perform basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on PV inverters, panels, and tracking systems
• Operate hand tools and electrical testing equipment
• Create and close-out work orders in Maximo
• Conduct site safety orientations for OEMs, ISPs, vendors, and visitors
• Maintain accurate parts and tooling inventory
• Assist with on-call duties and variable hours
