Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a Solar Technician I at the Ray Ranch site in Texas for entry-level support of solar facilities.

You will assist in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing PV inverters, panels, and tracking systems under supervision, using SCADA, Maximo, and SAP to document work orders. The role includes on-call duties, site safety orientations, and adherence to ENGIE safety and quality standards, with opportunities to grow in a dynamic renewables environment across

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or certification in a technical program with AC/DC electrical theory.
• Experience at solar/wind generation sites is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fill out permits to work, JSPs, LOTO; perform risk assessments.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PV inverters, solar panels, and tracking systems.
• Operate hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Complete Safety competency tests and follow documented procedures.
• Create and close-out work orders in Maximo.
• Conduct site safety orientations for OEMs, ISPs, vendors, and visitors.
• Maintain inventory of parts and tooling.
