Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Solar Technician I to support the Emerald Green Solar Site in Greentown, IN. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PV inverters, panels, and tracking systems, using SCADA, Maximo, and SAP to manage work orders and reporting.

You will join an on-call rotation, travel domestically as needed, and ensure safety procedures are followed. Residency within 50 miles of the site is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in a technical program with AC/DC electrical theory
• Knowledge of AC/DC voltage and electrical theory and reading one-line and three-line schematics
• Willingness to work on-call and extended hours in outdoor conditions
• Obtain required substation training/certifications within 12 months of hire date
• Must reside within 50 miles of Emerald Green Solar Site and have valid US driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Complete permits to work, JSPs, LOTO procedures and risk assessments
• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on PV inverters, solar panels, and trackers
• Operate hand tools and electrical testing equipment (multimeters, amps clamps)
• Create and close-out work orders in Maximo
• Conduct site safety orientations for OEMs, ISPs, vendors, and visitors
