ENGIE is seeking a Solar Technician I to support the operation and maintenance of the Anson 2 Solar Site in Anson, TX. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PV inverters, solar panels, and tracking systems, using SCADA, Maximo, and SAP to manage work orders and reporting.

This field position requires residence within 50 miles, on-call rotations, night shifts, outdoor work in extreme weather, and occasional domestic travel to ENGIE sites.

Qualificações

• Two technical diplomas with AC/DC electrical theory and reading blueprints/schematics.
• Reading one-line and three-line schematics and understanding electrical equipment operation/maintenance.
• Ability to select proper PPE for electrical work.
• Substation training or certifications within 12 months of hire date.
• Willingness for on-call duties and to travel domestically as needed.
• Able to read and follow switching orders and site documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Complete permits to work, JSPs, LOTO procedures and risk assessments.
• Under supervision, perform basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on PV inverters, panels, and tracking systems.
• Operate hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Follow ENGIE’s job documentation and maintenance checklists.
• Create and close-out work orders in Maximo.
• Conduct site safety orientations for OEMs, ISPs, vendors, and visitors.
• Escort visitors to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Perform LOTO and supervision for non-ENGIE personnel as needed.
• Maintain accurate parts and tooling inventory.
