Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a Solar Technician I for the Emerald Green Solar Site in Greentown, IN. You will support operation and maintenance of solar facilities, troubleshoot and repair PV inverters, panels, and tracking systems, and use SCADA, Maximo, and SAP to manage work orders and reporting.

Eligible candidates must reside within 50 miles of the site and participate in on‑call rotations. The position is full-time in a field environment, with 30% indoors and 70% outdoors, requiring

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma or certification in a technical program with AC/DC electrical theory knowledge
• Reading blue prints and schematics; experience with industrial electrical equipment
• Willingness to work night shifts and extended hours, outdoors in extreme weather
• Must reside within 50 miles of Emerald Green Solar Site and be available for on‑call rotations

Responsibilities

• Perform basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on photovoltaic inverters, solar panels, and tracking systems
• Operate standard hand tools and electrical testing equipment
• Create and close-out Maximo work orders
• Conduct site safety orientations for OEMs, ISPs, vendors and visitors
• Maintain accurate parts and tooling inventory
• Follow ENGIE safety policies and LOTO procedures
