Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Solar Technician I for the Chillingham Solar/Storage Facility in Rogers, TX. You will support operation and maintenance of solar assets, troubleshoot inverters and panels, and use SCADA, Maximo and SAP to track work orders and reporting.

You must reside within 50 miles of the site, be able to work outdoors in varying conditions, and participate in the on‑call rotation. A technical diploma or military equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in a technical program with electrical theory knowledge.
• Experience reading one-line and three-line schematics and operating electrical equipment.
• Willingness to travel domestically and reside within 50 miles of the site.
• On-call duties and night shift readiness.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Support operation and maintenance of solar facilities and inverters.
• Troubleshoot and repair photovoltaic inverters, panels and tracking systems.
• Use SCADA, Maximo and SAP to manage work orders and reporting.
• Create and close work orders in the Maximo system.
• Conduct site safety orientations for OEMs, ISPs, vendors and visitors.
• Maintain parts and tooling inventory.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and outdoor field work.
