Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a Solar Technician I for the Chillingham Solar/Storage Facility in Rogers, Texas. You will support operation and maintenance of solar systems, troubleshoot inverters, panels, and tracking equipment, and use SCADA, Maximo, and SAP to manage work orders and reporting.

The role requires travel domestically as needed, on-call duties, and work outdoors in varying weather. A technical diploma with electrical theory is expected, with willingness to pursue additional

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma or certification in a technical program with AC/DC electrical theory.
• Reading blueprints and schematics; industrial electrical equipment knowledge.
• Willingness to obtain substation training/certifications within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on PV inverters, solar panels, and tracking systems.
• Operate standard hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Create and close-out work orders in Maximo.
• Conduct site safety orientations for OEMs, ISPs, vendors, and visitors.
• Accompany visitors to ensure ENGIE safety and quality standards.
• Perform LOTO and supervision for non-ENGIE personnel.
• Maintain accurate parts and tooling inventory.
