Job summary

NovaSource Power Services is seeking a qualified technician to maintain and operate utility-scale PV plants in Yoakum, TX. The role involves monitoring SCADA, commissioning, testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and updating AC/DC solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and metering equipment.

The position requires 2+ years of related experience or journeyman certification, with a high school diploma or equivalent and preferred college/technical training.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a related position or Journey level certification.
• Experience in operating and maintaining power plant electrical systems, SCADA and controls systems operation, troubleshooting advanced electrical components, and using procedures to perform equipment preventative and corrective maintenance preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• College or technical degree preferred.
• Equivalent training in military, utility, or power industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor PV Plant operation through SCADA and maintain plant performance.
• Commission, test, inspect, troubleshoot, repair and modify AC/DC solar PV systems and components.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on power plant electrical systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and prints; verify site configurations.
• Maintain documentation, safety procedures, and quality standards.
