Job summary

NovaSource Power Services is seeking an on-site Electrical Technician to support the maintenance and operation of utility-scale PV plants. You will monitor SCADA, perform commissioning, testing, inspection, and repair of PV systems including inverters, transformers, and metering.

Minimum 2+ years in a related role or journeyman certification; strong electrical knowledge and safety background required. Travel may be involved; a valid driver's license is needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a related position or Journey level certification.
• Experience in operating and maintaining power plant electrical systems, SCADA and controls systems operation, troubleshooting advanced electrical components, and using procedures to perform equipment preventative and corrective maintenance preferred.
• Electrical certifications, state, journeyman, etc. a plus.
• Equivalent training in military, utility, or power industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform quarterly KPIs such as energy generation, on-time planned maintenance, and overall plant/equipment efficiency.
• Promote a safe work environment by adhering to company protocols.
• Maintain personal safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
• Follow Job Hazard Analysis, Pre-Job Brief and Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures.
• Assist in PM work including measuring, reading, testing and maintenance of site components.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with on-site projects, installations, commissioning, inspections, and performance testing.
• Ensure all documentation and reports are complete and filed.
