Job summary

Granite Construction seeks an estimator/engineer to provide technical cost information for solar projects up to 500MW. You will ensure compliance with design drawings, assist in budgeting, and coordinate with on-site teams to support schedules and quality work.

The role requires a Civil/Construction background, 2+ years of related experience, and proficiency with MS Office and HCSS. A valid driver’s license and strong collaboration skills are also expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field preferred.
• 2+ years in construction estimating support, engineering or field roles.
• Proficient with MS Office and estimating tools; good math and drawings interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls: stay within contract, budget, schedule and bid targets.
• Prepare daily cost reports and look-ahead schedules with project team.
• Create drawings/sketches to support change orders and estimates.
• Provide material controls input for delivery dates, schedules and costs.
