Job summary

Granite is seeking an estimator/engineer to support solar construction projects in Wasco, Oregon. The role focuses on cost information, adherence to engineering standards, and accurate bid preparation for large-scale solar installations up to 500MW.

Responsibilities include cost reporting, drawing interpretation for craft workers, documenting progress, and maintaining required logs. 0–2 years experience preferred; BS in civil engineering or related field recommended.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 0–2 years in estimating, engineering, or field support.
• Proficient in MS Office and scheduling/estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cost reporting, budgeting, and job forecasting.
• Interpret drawings and ensure field personnel follow specifications.
• Prepare documentation, take-offs, and material estimates.
• Support material controls and project schedules to minimize costs.
• Develop data for bids and maintain project look-ahead plans.
• Attend safety meetings and maintain RFI/Submittal logs.
