Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration in Colorado Springs, CO, seeks a Software Engineer to join the C2BMC team. You will develop Java/J2EE software for Regional Applications, work in an Agile environment, and translate SysML artifacts into robust components for missile defense operations.

The role requires a Secret clearance, on-site work, and travel up to 10% for program needs. You will contribute to design, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 2 years of experience, or Master’s with 1 year, or 6 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Current active Secret security clearance is required to start.
• Experience in Java/J2EE or other OO language (C++ desired).
• Knowledge of coding standards, automated testing, CI/CD, and configuration management.
• Ability to work in a collaborative Agile environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication; familiarity with Use Cases and SysML.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE software for Regional Applications within C2BMC.
• Work in an Agile team to implement features and resolve complex issues supporting missile defense missions.
• Translate requirements and SysML diagrams into maintainable components.
• Conform to established software engineering practices, including testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in full software lifecycle from analysis to deployment.
• Collaborate with system engineering, integration, and operations teams for reliability.
