Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration in Colorado Springs is seeking a Software Engineer to join the C2BMC Regional Applications team. You will design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE-based software to support regional missions and integrate with system engineering artifacts.

The role emphasizes Agile practices, CI/CD, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable software for critical national security programs.

Qualifications

• BS in CS, software engineering, mathematics, physics, or related field with 2 years of experience; or MS with 1 year; or 6 years alternative
• Active Government-issued Secret clearance at start
• Experience in Java/J2EE or other OO language; C++ desired
• Knowledge of coding standards, automated testing, CI/CD, configuration management
• Ability to work in a fast-moving, collaborative team environment; strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE software to support Regional Applications within C2BMC
• Work in an Agile team to implement features, enhance capabilities, and resolve complex problems
• Translate requirements and SysML diagrams into maintainable software components
• Adhere to software engineering practices including automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in full software development lifecycle: analysis, design, implementation, integration, test, deployment
• Collaborate with system engineering, integration, test, and operations teams to ensure reliability
