Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Missile Defense Integration seeks a Software Engineer (26-419) to join the Colorado Springs team. You will design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE software for the C2BMC program, working in an Agile environment to deliver features for regional applications and ensure robust mission support.

Qualifications

• Current, active Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field with 2 years' experience; or Master's with 1 year; or 6 years' experience in lieu of degree.
• Understanding of software engineering and software development with Java/J2EE or OO language; C++ desired.
• Knowledge of coding standards, automated testing, CI/CD, configuration management.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business needs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software in Java/J2EE for Regional Applications within C2BMC.
• Work in an Agile team to implement features and resolve problems for missile defense missions.
• Translate requirements and SysML diagrams into maintainable software components.
• Follow engineering practices including coding standards, automated testing, CI/CD, and config management.
• Participate in full software lifecycle from analysis to deployment.
• Collaborate with system engineering, integration, test, and operations teams for reliable operations.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and user support materials.
