Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration seeks a Principal Software Engineer – X-Lab Software Developer to join at Schriever Space Force Base, CO. You will contribute to C2BMC programs, develop Java applications with Spring, and ensure secure, scalable web interfaces in a defense-focused environment.

The role requires an active Secret clearance with DoD 8140 IAT II+, on-site work, and occasional after-hours support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or Master’s with 3+ years, or 9 years experience as alternative.
• Active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher required at start.
• Active in-scope DoD Secret clearance at application, with potential for TS/SCI.
• Experience with Java, Spring Framework, and OO design principles.
• Experience with HTML, XML, and JavaScript for web front ends.
• Experience deploying across Windows and Unix/Linux systems.
• Experience with build, version control and config management using Eclipse, Maven, Git/GitLab, Ansible.
• Experience developing Bash scripts to automate build and test pipelines.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Java and related technologies with OO and web development.
• Collaborate across Windows and Unix/Linux environments and meet deadlines.
• On-site role at Schriever SFB, CO; non-remote position.
• Work outside regular hours during events.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly in writing and verbally.
• Adapt to changing requirements and design solutions for complex problems.
• Apply security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
