Job summary

ADT seeks a Smart Home Consultant to guide residential customers in designing a secure, connected home. You’ll blend hands-on installation with consultative selling, helping clients choose and install security devices, cameras, and smart-home products.

You’ll train customers on the app and ensure solutions fit their home network. You’ll conduct in-home assessments, install gear, troubleshoot, and educate customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record may be required.
• Strong customer-focused communication and technical aptitude for smart devices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-home consultations and assessments.
• Recommend smart home and security solutions based on customer goals.
• Install and activate security hardware, cameras, IoT devices, and smart home products.
• Integrate new products with the customer’s existing setup.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical questions.
• Complete customer onboarding and product education.
• Build long-term customer confidence through proactive support.
• Identify upsell opportunities to strengthen home protection.
