Job summary

ADT is seeking a Smart Home Consultant to guide residential customers through designing a secure smart home. You will perform in-home consultations, install and activate devices, and educate customers on the ADT app and features.

You'll combine hands-on installation with consultative sales, helping customers select products that fit their needs and budget. Training is provided, with uncapped earnings potential from commissions and job completion bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong customer-focused communication skills.
• Technical aptitude with smart device ecosystems and connected technologies.
• Ability to understand how multiple products interact within a home network.
• Advise customers on the best system design and setup to support their safety goals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in‑home consultations and assessments.
• Recommend smart home and security solutions based on customer goals.
• Install and activate security hardware, cameras, IoT devices, and smart home products.
• Integrate new products with the customer’s existing setup.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical questions.
• Complete customer onboarding and product education.
• Build long‑term customer confidence through proactive support.
• Identify upsell opportunities that strengthen home protection.
