Job summary

ADT is hiring a Smart Home Consultant to guide residential customers in designing a secure home setup. You will combine hands-on installation with consultative sales to show how security, IoT devices, and smart home products work together.

You will activate systems and educate customers on our app and features to fit their unique needs. You will deliver in-home consultations, install hardware, troubleshoot questions, and support customers from onboarding through ongoing use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer-focused communication skills essential.
• Technical aptitude with smart devices and IoT ecosystems.
• Ability to understand how multiple products interact within a home network.
• Advises customers on optimal system design and setup for safety goals.
• Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-home consultations and assessments.
• Recommend smart home and security solutions based on customer goals.
• Install and activate security hardware, cameras, IoT devices, and smart home products.
• Integrate new products with existing customer setups.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical questions.
• Complete onboarding and product education for customers.
• Build long-term confidence through proactive support.
• Identify upsell opportunities to strengthen home protection.
