Job summary

ADT is hiring a Smart Home Consultant to guide residential customers in designing home security setups. You will combine hands‑on installation with consultative sales, helping customers understand security, IoT devices, and smart home products working together.

You will activate systems and educate customers on our app and features to fit their needs. You will deliver in‑home assessments, install devices, troubleshoot questions, onboard customers, and build long‑term confidence through proactive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong customer‑focused communication skills.
• Technical aptitude with smart device ecosystems.
• Understanding of how home devices interact on a network.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
• Ability to climb, and lift 10+ pounds, indoors/outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in‑home consultations and assessments.
• Recommend smart home and security solutions based on goals.
• Install and activate security hardware, cameras, IoT devices, and products.
• Integrate new products with the customer’s existing setup.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical questions.
• Complete customer onboarding and product education.
• Build long‑term customer confidence through proactive support.
• Identify upsell opportunities to strengthen protection.
