Job summary

ADT is seeking a Smart Home Consultant to guide residential customers in designing a security-forward home setup. You will combine hands-on installation with consultative sales to demonstrate how security, IoT devices, and smart features work together.

You will activate systems, educate customers on the app, and tailor solutions to each home. Requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong customer-focused communication and technical aptitude.
• Ability to understand how smart devices and home networks interact.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies and adapt to change.
• Physical ability to climb and lift 10+ pounds and work indoors/outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-home consultations and assessments.
• Recommend smart home and security solutions based on goals.
• Install and activate security hardware, cameras, IoT devices, and smart home products.
• Integrate new products with existing home setups.
• Troubleshoot technical questions and provide onboarding.
• Provide proactive, long-term customer support and education.
• Identify upsell opportunities to strengthen home protection.
