Job summary

ADT is hiring a Smart Home Consultant to guide residential customers through designing a security-centered home setup. You will blend hands-on installation with consultative sales, educating customers on our app and devices while ensuring solutions fit their needs.

You'll perform in-home assessments, install hardware, and help customers understand how security, IoT devices, and smart home products work together. A valid license and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; location-based licensing may be required.
• Strong customer-focused communication skills.
• Technical aptitude with smart devices and home networks.
• Ability to design and set up a customer-focused home system.
• Willingness to learn about new tools and technologies.
• Ability to lift 10+ pounds and perform indoor/outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-home consultations and assessments.
• Recommend smart home and security solutions based on goals.
• Install and activate security hardware, cameras, IoT devices, and smart home products.
• Integrate new products with the customer’s existing setup.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical questions.
• Complete customer onboarding and product education.
• Build long-term customer confidence through proactive support.
