Job summary

ADT is seeking a Smart Home Consultant to guide residential customers in designing home security and IoT setups. You’ll combine hands-on installation with consultative sales and educate customers on our app and features, ensuring every solution fits their unique needs.

You will activate systems, integrate products, and provide proactive support while building lasting trust. High school diploma and driver’s license required, with uncapped commissions and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with customers and ability to educate on products.
• Technical aptitude to work with IoT devices and home networks.
• Ability to advise on best security and smart home configurations.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies on the job.
• Physical ability to lift and work indoors/outdoors as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-home consultations and assessments.
• Recommend smart home and security solutions based on goals.
• Install and activate security hardware, cameras, IoT devices, and smart home products.
• Integrate new products with the customer’s existing setup.
• Troubleshoot technical questions and provide onboarding and education.
• Build long-term customer confidence through proactive support.
• Identify upsell opportunities to strengthen home protection.
