Job summary

BrightStar Care is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to provide select therapy interventions in a clinic setting under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist. The role requires a Texas SLPA license and may involve scheduling flexibility to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted SLPA license in Texas.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable car, auto insurance, TB test, and CPR.

• Provide the client with the best treatment and direct patient care using sound judgment and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with team members to meet positive client care outcomes.
• Assist in maintaining a safe environment for clients.
• Provide accurate, detailed, and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care and the therapy process.

Job description

The Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA) is employed by the agency and is responsible for providing select speech language therapy interventions in clinic setting. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plan of care (POC) under the direction and supervision of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).
