Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to support pediatric patients in home health and day program settings.

You will deliver skilled therapy under physician orders, participate in supervision with a licensed SLP, collaborate with care teams, and help families achieve communication goals while advancing your clinical skills in a supportive, therapist-owned practice.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual English/Spanish.
• Current Texas SLPA licensure.
• 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience required.
• Home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions according to physician orders.
• Delivers services in the patient's home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visits with the supervising SLP per Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient.
• Plans care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions.
• Maintains knowledge through continual education and professional engagement.

• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
