Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our pediatrics-focused team. The role involves providing skilled speech therapy in patients' homes or daytime facilities, adhering to physician orders, and coordinating with a supervising SLP under Texas guidelines.

The candidate should be bilingual (English/Spanish), hold a TX SLPA licensure, and have at least 6 months of full-time clinical experience, with pediatrics and home health experience preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Provides services in the patient’s home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visits with supervising SLP per Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient.
• Plans care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions.
• Keeps current with education opportunities and professional materials.
• Seeks opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements

• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
