Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Mesquite, TX is seeking a bilingual SLPA to join our pediatric-focused team. You will provide skilled speech therapy services in patients' homes or daytime facilities, under physician orders, and collaborate with the supervising SLP.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual English/Spanish.
• Current Texas SLPA licensure.
• At least 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Provides services in the patient’s home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visits with supervising SLP per Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address patient goals.
• Plans care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
• Maintains knowledge through ongoing education and professional involvement.

• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
