Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed SLPA to provide pediatric speech therapy in patients' homes or daytime facilities in Texas. Requirements include current Texas SLPA licensure, at least 6 months of full-time clinical experience, and pediatrics experience; home health experience is preferred and bilingual applicants are welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
