Job summary

Proofpoint is expanding its State, Local, & EDU (SLED) sales team in California. The Named Account Manager will manage existing clients and drive net-new sales within a named CA territory, reporting to the SLED Regional Sales Director.

You will serve as an IT security advocate and grow solution adoption across public sector accounts. Ideal candidates bring proven success selling to Public Sector, a strong regional network, and deep cybersecurity experience.

Qualifications

• Experience that demonstrates repeated success selling into Public Sector.
• Strong network of public sector clients, partners, and industry contacts in the region.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and/or software IT industry.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed annual sales quota for new revenue and bookings.
• Develop regional marketing/channel plans for end users and partners.
• Forecast accurately and maintain CRM hygiene.
