Job summary

Proofpoint is expanding its SLED sales team and seeking a field-based Account Manager to drive new and existing revenue within a named account territory in Texas. You will establish Proofpoint as a trusted IT security advisor to State, Local, and Education clients, managing prospects through implementation and expansion.

You will forecast, maintain CRM hygiene, and build relationships with decision-makers while aligning solutions to client needs in a competitive public sector market.

Qualifications

• Experience selling to Public Sector clients.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity solutions and software IT industry.
• Strong prospecting and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed annual sales quota for new revenue and existing bookings.
• Provide quarterly forecasting and CRM hygiene.
• Grow relationships with decision-makers and increase solution adoption.
• Develop regional marketing/channel plans for end users and partners.
• Navigate Public Sector contracts, budgets, and purchasing workflows.
• Report to SLED Regional Sales Director and manage named accounts.
