Job summary

Proofpoint in Sunnyvale is expanding its field sales and seeks a Sr Account Manager to own relationships within the SLED vertical. You will manage existing clients and drive net-new opportunities, presenting Proofpoint’s security solutions to public sector buyers.

The role requires a proven track record of quota attainment, strong networking with state and local decision-makers, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must reside in South Bay Area or LA County.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas.
• Experience selling cybersecurity or software IT solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed annual sales quota for new revenue and bookings per management guidance.
• Grow relationships with decision-makers and influencers to expand solution adoption.
• Develop, strategize, and execute regional marketing/channel plans for end users, partners, and events.
• Navigate Public Sector processes and procurement workflows within the vertical.
• Reside in South Bay Area or LA County.
